So it’s almost that time of year again, Summer. Where there’s Summer, there’s Warped Tour. Basically here’s a video for those of you who are about to experience your first year of Warped Tour and are curious of what and what not to expect. Fear not because that’s what I am here for, to answer your pondering questions about Warped Tour.
To sum it all up…
BRING:
*water
*money
*small snack (security might not let it in, but just yell for one of the warped staff members to help you out)
*TICKET
*cell phone
*digital or disposable camera
*a sharpie (in case you run into a band)
*SUNSCREEN (apply often, kids; ESPECIALLY on TATTOOS)
*hat (just in case)
*poncho (just in case)
*cheap sunglasses
*a light backpack (no PURSES! athletic drawstring backpacks es bueno.)
YOU SHOULD WEAR:
*shorts or jeans (weather permitting)
*tank top or t-shirt (light colored, preferrably)
*SNEAKERS! (do NOT wear flip flops, sandals, OR BOOTS!!!)
-make sure you wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty and/or possibly torn-
-don’t wear baggy pants or skirts-
-GIRLS, WEAR A BIKINI AT YOUR OWN RISK-
-leave your metal studded belts & jewelry at home. security will just take it away-
MAKE SURE TO:
*check set & signing times and buy a map
*visit the merch booths and keep an eye out for free stuff
*expect mosh pits, crowd surfers, and hot stuffy crowds
*keep all your with you
*stay with your friends throughout the day
*stay well nourished throughout the day
*get to the stages early
*locate medical tents!
DO NOT:
*complain about crowds, mosh pits, or crowd surfers
*forget to drink PLENTY of WATER!! (i’m talking gallons here people)
*lose people in your group
*make fun of other people who like a band you don’t like (you’ll just look like a douchebagel)
SIDENOTES:
-security was hella tight this year and not in a good way. @ the carson date they seperated the males from the females when they were checking bags and the you had in your pockets-
-the port o potties are DISGUSTING there so ‘empty out’ before leaving-
-if your purse or, basically, ANY OF YOUR BELONGINGS look like they’re made of metal, security WILL NOT allow you into the venue. METAL = NONO-

@MaSa862 this year there was 8. usually its around that number. yes, it’s rare that one stage will only have a certain genre play. so there will always be times where a pop punk and metal band will be performing on the same stage some time in the day. if you don’t want to watch one band you can always watch another band on another stage then come back later to see another band. don’t worry about not getting front row, you can always push & shove (:

how many stages are in warped tour? and also is it possible that a hardcore/metal band play on the same stage as a pop-rock band? because i don’t listen to metal :/

@ToBeSarcastic depends on how much merch you’re gonna plan on buying. i usually bring $115 (the $15 is for water only ;] ) keep in mind a majority of the things they’re selling (merchandise wise) are probably $15-$40 so i’d bring no less than $100 but no more than $200 and if you DO bring that much make sure you don’t lose it.

@Mikeb243 Mmm well I remember one time I got to the venue at around 9 & I already saw people waiting in line to get in or buying their tickets. The lines generally aren’t super long (depending on how many people are gonna be attending & buying their tickets at the same venue you’d be going to the day of) but I’d probaby get there early, at around 8:30 the least, just in case the ticket line is long.

wat time should someone go if they are gunna buy tickets at the door? ive heard of people getting there around 8am when the doors open at 11am. is that too early?

@cinthia478 it depends. the ones i’ve been to usually set up a stand that says “map & schedule” at the front so when people walk in they’ll immediatly see them. if you cant find that then defiantly go over to the vans booth and ask.
