Hello well here is my question I have an interview at a woman’s and children homeless shelter tomorrow for a receptionist. The lady called me fri evening and because of the holiday rush and family gathering i could not get out to make a long story short I am going crazy trying to find something to wear that will look presentable. Will this work I do have dress slacks black and shoes now will a brown dress jacket look well with a button down blue dress shirt or will I look like I just came from the circus.. Black slacks and shoes sound fine. The blue shirt is another story. Always better off going with white. Brown jacket with black slacks? Not my favorite color choices but if it’s the only jacket you own, you may be stuck with it. Perhaps a sweater would be a better option. And good luck with the interview.

I think the blue shirt with the black slacks and black shoes will be fine. If your brown dress jacket is simply a "coat" for winter, it’s fine to wear it and then take it off when you enter the building. If you’re wearing it as a "suit jacket" to complete the outfit… don’t.

If you have a white button down shirt, that will work better due to rules of dress. However, if you do not have a white, collared, button down, the blue shirt will do just fine. The black dress shoes are fine too. The brown jacket does not seem appropriate. If you need something to keep you warm outside, wear it then take it off once inside. If you can, go without the jacket. A brown jacket does not reall compliment this outfit

You will look like you came from the circus. Get rid of the jacket . There is no reason for you to be homeless. Black & blue dress is ok . Black & blue eyes are not .
