Does anyone know where to get Purse Hooks in Toronto, Ontario?

March 10, 2010  //  Posted by: admin  //  Category: purse hook

Here is what they are:

http://www.silverhooks.com/

It hooks your purse to the table when your eating.

First, a lot of sites call them purse hangers or purse holders, so that might help with your search. I’d ask handbag/luggage stores like Bentley if they sell them. Accessory stores like Aldo Accessories, Ardene, and Claire’s may also have them.

If that doesn’t work, I’d go to any hardware / home decor store and pick up an "over the door" hook – usually $5 or less – and just hammer the piece that goes over the door so that it’s flat, and will therefore rest on a table. I’d add something like vinyl or suede to the bottom to prevent slipping.

Really though, it does seem like the easiest thing would be to get it online…

FUMI PurseHook, Purse Accessory, and Bangle Braclet

March 09, 2010  //  Posted by: admin  //  Category: purse hook

The FUMI which stands for Fashionable, Unique, Multi-purpose, Innovation is a three in one fashion accessory. First it can be used as a functional Pursehook to keep your bag off the floor no matter where you are. Secondly when you pull the bag off a surface when hanging on our PurseHook the FUMI turns into a purse accessory, as it stays on the outside of your handbag. Lastly the FUMI transforms into a fashionable bangle bracelet that accessorizes any outfit.

Where can I find a leather strap with hooks for a purse…?

March 08, 2010  //  Posted by: admin  //  Category: purse hook

http://www.brandsboutique.com/louis-vuitton-designer-handbags-natural-vachetta-leather-shoulder-strap-designer-purses-p-259-c-2.html

One similar to this (leather), but a lot cheaper? Thanks.
Anybody actually helpful (with a link)?

I cannot find a store that sells a similar Vuitton vachetta shoulder strap with the large lobster claws. I would recommend either going to a reputable shoe cobbler in your area or a leather maker store and have one custom made. Get a price quote first (show the craftsman the picture of this strap).

When will someone finally invent the masculine man-purse?

March 06, 2010  //  Posted by: admin  //  Category: purse hook

Because I’m sick and tired of carrying around my cell phone and all my other stuff in my pocket but I don’t want to hook it to my belt. When will a product finally be invented that frees us from homophobic associations and lets us respectably carry our increasingly large armada of accessories?

I think it’s more about perception. Once people realize that "purses" are useful for everyone, there won’t be such gender stereotypes and negative associations.

I think the trick is for any man who wants a "man-purse" to simply find a carry-all that he likes, and use it with confidence. Enough people do this for long enough, and voila!

In the mean time, check out outdoorsy type retailers, they tend to have some nice unisex gear.

Slate.com recently had an article about bags: http://www.slate.com/id/2154926

Dream: boyfriends mom takes carkeys from my purse, he returns them. Only to find my car in a field tireless.?

March 04, 2010  //  Posted by: admin  //  Category: purse hook

No words were spoken but my feelings in the dream were those of anger and disbelief. Not sure if the mother and son (boyfriend) conspired to move the car together? The body of the car, once located, was in normal condition but all four tires where gone and nowhere in sight. When I awoke, my boyfriend was coming in from his car and was replacing his keys on the nearby hook. I recall feeling betrayed, bewildered and lost as I had no way home.

Maybe you feel like he’s gonna take advantage of you… You could be kinda symbolized as the car… he could take you for a spin and leave you feeling empty, or unable to love or something to that effect… (maybe that’s a bit drastic, but think about it…) When something like that does happen, you probably WILL feel betrayed, bewildered, and as for the having no way to get home, you might feel like you don’t know much about your love life. I don’t think the mom’s really significant in this other than the fact that she might know about it… You probably had this dream to prepare you (in a way) for if that happens.

Or.. if you want to interpret it *literally*, your boyfriend’s gonna steal your car.

How would you reorganize a females closet.?

February 26, 2010  //  Posted by: admin  //  Category: purse hook

I actually have 2 closets with sliding doors across from each other.
They are outdated with just a rod across and 1 shelf. Should I put in shelves, what kind of things would you store on shelves. Are drawers necessary, for what types of things. I am thinkng about putting a rod really high then the regular one then a lower one. And
what about shoes, and purses (hooks for purses) I really need to get my clothes organized. It is warm here so we don’t really have seasonal clothes, maybe a few light jackets, sweaters. Also where do you keep clothes that are worn but still can be worn again without washing.

Ok I love reorganizing closets :)

1. Go through and "fling" anything that you haven’t used or worn in the last year. Get rid of anything that you say you are going to wear if you lose weight. When you lose it, you will deserve new stuff. Get rid of anything that you keep in case you put weight on. Don’t doubt yourself that you can keep weight off. check out www.flylady.com for great ideas on reducing closet clutter and clutter in general.

2. Try out www.closetmaid.com. They make a great product which I used in my previous home. Very versatile in use and budget. They have an online model were you can input your dimensions and click and drag their products to "virtually" remodel your closet. If you arent that good with online stuff, find one of their distributors (lowes, home depot, etc) and work with some one there to create something for you. They have great accessories including basket, drawers, shoe racks, etc.

3. For stuff that you can wear again in the week consider an over the door hook. I do that with jeans and sweaters that I know I can wear again that week. Then I know it was already worn once rather than seeing it in the closet and wondering if it has been worn.

4. Get all the same hangars. Those plastic white ones are cheap and great. You will be shocked at how much more organized it makes the closet look and feel. I was!

5. Organize starting at the left with your whites. First hang up tanks and camis, then short sleeves, then 3/4 sleeve, long sleeve, etc. Basically less material to more. Once you have finished with white move to yellow with the same less to more/left to right pattern. When you are done you have a closet that is both color and style sorted (I swear I don’t have OCD haha).

Have fun!!
