*UPDATE*
DIRECTIONS:
5 main parts, front, back, bottom, top, straps
1- the front and back are made of 9 pouches.. 3×3
2- the bottom is made out of 5 pouches.
3- the top is made out of 6, then u cut in half and add the zipper
4- the straps: i just have foam, cut to comfort/size wrapped in a nylon fabric and stapled( the sewing machine broke several times the first time i tried sewing this much material). make sure to leave extra space at both ends of the nylon so u can attach the rope part of the straps and attach it to the backpack itself.
5- so basically, the straps are 3 parts. 1. the foam part. 2. the rope part u attach to the foam (1:14 in video). 3. the rope u attach to the main 3×3 back of the backpack (1:25 in video)
so now u have the front (3×3 cut with the curved top), the back (3×3 with straps attached and cut with the curved top), the top with the zipper, and the bottom.
optional: on my backpack, i put the green liner on the front, back, and bottom parts. you can do this by simply sewing a desired material to the capri sun.
now, the hard part, attaching all the main parts.
i do this inside out. so my green liner was on the outside, and the capri sun was on the inside. Then, when you are all done sewing, you reverse it inside out.
this is how i sewed the parts in order.
1.you have the back part with the straps, capri sun side facing you then u attach the bottom so u have equal amounts on each side
2. then you attach the zipper, making sure its equal on both sides.
3. then u attach the top. making sure the material(green liner) side is facing you. you should end with a backpack thats all capri sun on the inside, and all material on the outside.
4.then u flip it inside out.
hopefully this helps.. the last steps are the hardest and take the most time
